Hi,

Twice now I've come close to winning the beach assault scenario (2). And Twice the game's just shut down and returned me to the desktop.

I'm running Windows Me, 512 ram, a 256 Geforce FX card, generic soundcard and plenty of harddrive space. Oh yeah an amd 1.2 chip.

Any ideas what's going on? Vad, you were a big help with the sound problems on the demo, and you emailed me some changes, which I didn't save when I bought the game. One, I believe was user hardware=1, do you remember what the other was?

any help here would be appreciated, as ususal.

thanks

madjoseph :D

Yep Vad,

Thanks, that's what I meant. I also meant the amphibean assault rather than the beach one. I changed this setting and the third time I was able to complete and win the scenario.

You also mentioned another setting in your email, and now I can't remember what it is. Any idea?

Thanks for responding however. You guys rock!

the second one probably was
[graphix]
CPUSharing=1

but if all with your version is ok, you may leave all as is.

Thanks Vadim,

That was the one. Actually, I'm still experiencing some sound distortion. I changed the first setting and that cleared up most of it, yet it returned while I was playing, notably when I zoomed out to get a better view.

I am, unfortuneatley having some sound problems with a few other games
Notably Rise of Nations. So this may not be a MA problem. I'm not sure. But anyway, thanks for responding so quickly and trying to help.
