I'm not ok for Warbum.
I don't remember how are my games against him but i'll try to win over all (with fair play too). So put him on stand bye during one week or remove him (sorry for him) but please NO DRAW.
My only (little) chance to continue tournament is to win all my leaving games !!! Respect the game spirit, please.

Ok. if Warbum couldn't restore connection to server, I'll delete ALL his battles.

Hello

I've not received any plays from both Boomer or grtbrit for 4 days.
This actually coincides with me having to reinstall the game due to a bug and I was wondering if something has gone wrong and that they are waiting for me to take my turn.

thanks

Your tournament's battles with grtbrit were finished.
Situation with Boomer will be cleared in the nearest future.

I have played my latest turns. I've been swamped with work, both on my home network and with new clients. Sorry for the delay.

There is Rule:
"Each stage has a 3-week time limit (after the stage is officially announced). If a game is not finished within this time limit, it is counted as a draw and both players get 1 point".
So next week new round should be started.

Pool 7 has been won be Enforcer, it's a given (and good games, BTW) . I'd very much appreciate it if I could finish my last 2 games against Catlyn99 though, but he/she started a week late due to technical difficulties.

When the tournement officially moves to the next round, I hope that although a draw is counted in the official standings, the games still in play aren't artificially ended - I'd very much like to finish mine.

And I'd also like to never see Antarcticus again, but what're you going to do?

Update for people who (a) are too lazy to go check the results page and (b) only read the first few pages of this thread:

As expected, mortonHQ waltzed through his group without losing a game. Pitor came out on top on group 2 after Mrakobes' unexpected withdrawl, and group 3 saw the other unbeaten record with maelstrom taking top honours. Group 4 has Nikthekid edging out pre-tourney favourite and developer artmax by a game.

The remainder of the groups were "injury" prone. It's a nail biter in 5 and 6, as Arkangel and Rocklizard are awaiting the conclusion of their last games vs sgtshaggy to break their tie....and if the final game in 6 goes grtbrt's way, it'll be a 3-way tie at 2/2 that'll need the beancounter's to figure out who won.

In my own group 7, dark horse Enfprcor has taken the honours (sorry wasabe, had I managed a split, both of us would have had a chance to tie) . And group 8 saw mgrosh squeek out the win in a tightly contested series.

Personally, I'd like to thank everyone, both players and programmers alike. This has been a fun.

Now let's none of us ever go back to Antarcticus again, I'm sick of it. Amen.

that's odd considering like 150 registered users in online list
(50 of which were active last week)
maybe they do not know about tournament? is there way to notify registered users via email maybe?

I'm with you. I don't think people have noticed that there's a tournement. Might be a good idea to pass the word via comments in your games to those you haven't registered yet.

No reason for anyone not to play. What's the worst that can happen?
I can't agree more!
As i've been away from this forum, only now i realise that a tournment is taking place :o
Hope to be able to partticipate on the next one...
But i've been playing very regulary and with some guys that are on the tournement (including the all mighty Tiger...and Morton as well) and it's a pitty they haven't remembered to say something to me.
But again, i think that an invitation should be sent by mail to all players...

It's strange, because of I've sent e-mail to ALL players :(

I'd like to delay start of new round. This week should be released new patch and think we should wait that ALL players, which ones will play next round, could download and install it.
This is a list of players who is already winner of Pool:
Pool 1:
MortonHQ

Pool 2:
Pitor

Pool 3:
maelstrom

Pool 4:
NikTheKid

Pool 5:
?

Pool 6:
?

Pool 7:
Enfprcer

Pool 8:
mgrosh

If grtbrit keeps playing, I should be able to end the game within a turn or two.

This would have been over long ago if we could force a version match in games so people with old versions can't play people with new versions.

I hope the next patch doesn't do the same thing. I don't want to restart games that are already decided and be forced to win them twice again. :)

That makes me real leery with the history of Matrix Games. It took them about a month to get the last patch out. Of course, that was over the holidays, but it still took them two weeks after that. The question is, is there any compatability issues with the new patch? If so, it will put the US people at a disadvantage (Boomer, mgrosh, and myself). This could also delay the tournament significantly. If not, theres no reason to wait, is there?

As far as I know, this patch could allow avoid bug with "lost" bound, when one player don't see bound of other player and game is broken.
Some battles of this tournament were restarted and I don't like repeat it, but if patch will not release this week by Matrix, we can start new round.

The patch should be 100% compatible with v190 patch.

We can also force users to install v191 patch before they can connect to server. (When it will be available to everyone)

I've played a good few turns using the new patch against others who are not using it (I expect?) and havn't noticed any problems.
