I made a little concept of how the chat system could work. Very simple and even easier to implanet since all it really is is nothing more then a irc client imbedded into the game client.

I'd like a chat client, because it would allow you to find players that are online at that moment, and discuss a game that you just played (or still playing)

Another nice idea with the above is you could click on the players name (even if the player was offline) and it could take you to a new screen that shows that players stats (win / lose , ect.) Kinda like the Battle.net client does when you play WC3.

Yeah the battle.net client in Warcraft 3 is very good. The only better client for online gaming I know is the one in Tribes 2, with integrated clans and custom player pages :smile:.

yeah in game chat would be nice i also like that fact that you can take daysbefore returning a surn.

I just wanted to chime in and agree here. A chat system like this would definately ratchet up the fun factor and let people talk about games.

If you have ever played Megamek.net it has a server client and a game client so you can chat to your oponent and to the players waiting for a game on the server.
