I have a GF2MX (gonna replaced with a GF2Ti these days) and I wanna switch off the effects of explosions and the smoke. Is there a ini-setting or something? Beside that It is well playable on AMD 750 + GF2MX.

Well but you have to think about notebooks too. Massive Assault is a perfect game to play during lunch. You know you can send ur moves and then go on with your work

An its no problem to implement a switch to reduce / remove the effects.

After I set it to 1024x768x16 its all good.

by the way - setting of DrawShadows to zero can increase prefomance dramaticly. Aslo Texture resolution to 8 reduce Texture Memory Usage for card with RAM less than 64Mb:-)
I have played MA on PIII 500 with 16Mb TNT2Pro without significant problems.

Yeah but by switching off smoke and explosions I would be able to switch to a even higher resoultion

You know I dont have a problem while moving things around. But when the unit fires three rockets it slows down like hell. So I give the command and scroll out of sight. After I heared the impact sound I scroll back and go on... .

MA is great because you could probably play it with 2d graphics (like advance wars, one of my favorites ).

even though my card is almost obsolete it still works perfectly and my MA almost doesn't lag, even with the largest battleship attacks, 3 at a time, in a window.

it's not obsolete for this game. but try AA:O, or ut2k3 with that card it's painfully bad.

AA:O ?
and the UT2k3 demo worked fine here, as well as many other games. BF1942 didn't work that good though
