Why did you chose phpBB as the forums script?
There are a lot of other great scripts - Ikonboard, Invisionboard, YaBB, vBulletin (the best, but not free)...

Why did you chose phpBB as the forums script? There are a lot of other great scripts - Ikonboard, Invisionboard, YaBB, vBulletin (the best, but not free)... Just interested

Well, it has just happened HISTORICALLY. We always used PHPBB and we kept using it... It's not that we are greedy and don't want to pay those $80 to vBulleting or something... because the installation and tuning up of a new Bulletin system may take some time and we decided to direct our programmer's efforts on more valuable things like bug fixing, server-side optimizations, etc. |
