Wargaming.net announces that subscription to the 1st International Tournament for Massive Assault Network is open now. Entry to the tournament closes at 5pm GMT on June 1st and is available for all registered players.

This tournament will run for 11 weeks and the winner will be determined in accordance with Swiss system. Each player will have 16 battles on 8 different planets (two battles on the same map - one for Phantom League’s and one for Free Nations Union’s side). Wargaming.net commemorates this tournament announcement to the 1st month since game’s release.

“We’re delighted to see many people actively participating in online battles”, said Victor Kislyi, the president of Wargaming.net. “We decided to go further and enrich their gaming experience with this International Tournament. Moreover, it will help us to determine and reward the best players”.

You can read more about the rules and sign up for the tournament at:

Please help us to determine the best Commander of M.A.N.!

Best regards,
Massive Assault Network Team

When a person has to defend his worst map against Rocklizard, pretty much anybody's protection is limited

Hi All,

Sorry, but there is serious bug in the MAN.
I think we should delay start of tournament, otherwise some battles could be broken.
Probably, new patch will be ready until Friday (June,4).

Yours sincerely,
Peter Bityukov <Tiger>

Hmm, I think delaying the tournament a bit sounds like a good idea if we can avoid some broken games.

How will we know whether a challenge is part of the tournament? Will we be able to tell tournemant games apart from normal games somehow?

Tiger, if we're supposed to install the patch before the tournament begins, someone better send everyone in the tournament a message telling them to install it (and where to download it from) before the first game. Judging by the number of posts, I don't think many people frequent these forums.

Your tournament games will come in the form of new games - ie not challenges for you to accept - the first round battles are numbered 21107-21194.

Regards the patch - it is preferable but not essential that people are patched - I will get a message sent to all tourney participants.

Post subject:  Tip about format/Early leader

If you are definitely going to lose a battle - it is a good idea to surrender it before the next round draw (about 6pm Wednesday UK time each week).

In progress battles count for 1 point - so by surrendering you will lower your score - thus giving you in theory an easier draw in the next round.

-------------------------------

We already have our first leader - Artanis has won one of his two opening round games within the first 5 hours of the tourney!

Wow, that was fast. Are the replays of the tournament games going to be posted as they're won?

You can send interesting replays of tournament battles to me and I'll post it in the special topic of Forum.

At some point it would be really nice to have some kind of flag or icon that lets you know which games are tournament games, so you can quickly scan your turn list and find the ones that are most important to complete first. It also would help in letting you know where games come from, as games suddenly appear when someone accepts public challenges as well.

Exciting stuff...I'm glad the tourney was able to start on time.

Are there plans for an on-line Leaderboard to see how everybody's doing?

That was quick ;) They just added this to your MAN game list. So all you have to do is check your MAN web page and you'll find which games go to which tournament.
