It wasn't actually motivated by an attempt to deceive and we didn't keep it a secret (the Russians knew and so did some of the Americans) - we had a paid up account that wasn't being used - so we offered Morton the chance to use it. |

I see I've been sprung! I did say that WarlordRickGizmo was MortonHQ in one of my previous posts on this topic, but admitadly not until after the games were started.

Just wanted to say this was my first tourney and I enjoyed it very much, appart from the lack of sleep  . Well done to the organisers!
I was a bit unprepared - I had unfinished games before it started and I had just big planets in my battle list. With work and other commitments, I could just barely keep within the 3 day limit, especially in tough battles. I'm also fairly new to MAN and take longer to do turns cause I'm not yet familiar with all the planets. I will organise myself better next time: I'll clear my games list, and have at least a few small planets on my wish list
Suggestion about the time limit: I think it shouldn't be too difficult for the developers to dump the time stamps for turn submission. From there, a simple average can be computed at the end of the period assigned for battles (4 weeks), which should than be within a certain number of days (maybe 2?) . If a player is over the limit, he looses the match. With hard limit set to 7 days, this basically implements the "buffer zone" or "time pool" or whatever it was called... |
