Playing in windowed mode seems to prevent game from crashing.

In full screen it crashes randomly everywhere for me, once even in main menu when I somehow finished on the tutorials and returned to it without incidents once...

Please comment if it helped.

Cheers...

No luck here. I still crash anytime I try to disclose an ally.

Please can a developer acknowledge that this is a known issue. It is incredibly easy to reproduce, seems to be universal, and there is no known workaround.

Same for me. No change. Patched version crashes on disclose. Developer did ask for and receive my saved game file.

I have a different problem than you guys. After I patched I can still disclose allies, but every game get the "Game seems to be broken" message after a while. So there seems to be several issues with the patch.

Umm... I'm gonna buy the game soon so...
Do you think that I should install the patch?

No! Don't get the patch.Because if you do, many portions of the game will be "broken".

In my case installing the patch causes the game to crash to the desktop anytime you try to declare an ally. My understanding is that without the patch you get to deal with a memory leak and you won't be able to complete some portions of the career mode.

memory leak? What do you mean by that?

:D Yiihaaa. I have played this game time after time in World War, this was the first time i tried it in windows, not full screen. .....and it works :D . Thanks to you Forsight for a good tip how to avoid crash.

I hope i never see that damn message again, game seems to be broken... blaaahh.

I played with latest patch (2.0.127). I hope everybody can share this nice feeling, to finish the game to the end.

I am not sure of the technical definition but the practical effect is that your effective ram drops over time. If it drops far enough it creates performance issues.

Here is the text describing what the patch fixed:

DOMINATION V2.0.127 PATCH NOTES

IMPROVEMENTS:
Heavy Bot model was replaced with the new one (was although followed by changes of some scripts and data on that unit)
Extra training missions (Secret Allies) was added
Helicopters' scripts were changed (which is supposed to speed up the performance for Helicopter Attack scenario)
Some sounds of units were converted (in 22.050 from 44kHz)
Several minor drawbacks were fixed with positioning of camera and MOB's in training missions
Several minor issues were fixed for few steps in campaigns, one World War and one scenario.

FIXES:
The overall algorithm for resource caching was changed (should fix critical memory leaks)
Some internet-bugs were fixed
Alt-Tab switching in windowed mode during AI turn fixed

Ah, that's too much to miss out on. I'll take the risk with the patch.

The latest patch (1.036 I think) fixes the crashing problem I was having. I don't know why they still don't have it on their site, I found it at 3dgamers.com

I thought Bounder said that V2.0.127 was out and was causing the crashing. Your patch probably replaced the other patch.
