Only if you want to sign up as a member. The non member links are bogus so if you want the demo you are forced to join. Since I refuse to be manipulated I guess Im out of luck.

hey

uhm, i know you prob know this but here goes.

due to the size of the demo, using bit torrent is going to have problems, your best bet is t have somone you know send you the file on a mem stick

i use the 4 gig mem sticks all the time, and sending the demo thru the mial isnt a problem. but then id have to trust you to send it back, best bet is to just find someone locally to you unless your in iraq... tho if your in the military you might try the post rec center at camp anaconda, or even doha. i know that most of the guys in the EOD units play massive assault.
throw them some candy and your in.

Then do a google search for it and download it from another site that does not need you to register. But what the heck, it is a free registration, big deal...the world is out to get you!!!!

I did google it actually. I guess I just didnt get far enough down the perspective site list before getting in a snit. Everything looped back to this same site and by then I was not in the mood to be forced into even trivial compliance. Sure, free today but, tomorrow its SPAM! Then later, its not safe to walk the streets. Just you see!

Im glad you mentioned that about the world, you know, out to get me, cause I was beginning to think I was just being paranoid.

Got it, thanks. Plays like command and concur turn based. Hated it when they did that to Panzer General. Well, another game ruined by focusing on eye candy.

Tried the GA demo, I think anyone who likes MAN2 will like GA. I'll be buying this one.

I love MAN2 but I don't like Galactic Assault.

MAN2 is great - Galactic Assault is OK - but I won't be buying it.

I prefer to compete vs Real Players.

Galactic Assault is more of a puzzle game where you try to figure out how to solve the set pieces in front of you in the time frame allowed.

MAN2 is much more dynamic.

The battle with human opponent in the Galactic Assault is very interesting too, but there is problem with searching of opponent :(

Have the devs thought of getting a "room" on Gamespy? That would help bring the opposing players together.

Frankly, the multiplayer aspect of this game is one of the things I am looking forward to.

Is the AI in GC any better than MAN2?

It's other game. If you will play against AI in the Campaign or single scenarios, it could be enough difficult. If you will play against AI in the duel (scenarios for multiplayer games) you will see that AI could not be compared with real human opponent.

Alas, I dont like GA either, just not the same as MAN2, they would have been better adding some more bigger units and maps, or allowing more players to play other than 1v1.
