Since it seems it takes some effort to create new maps, why not merge some smaller maps, as suggested earlier in this forum? For example V6 and Emerald are small and quite similar in appearance. Place Emerald where the 4-income nation is and you have a new interesting medium map.

A different merge could be the norteast continent in Sea Switz. joined with San Fernando.

Any chance for this to happen, developers?

Thank you :D
One of two very good ideas which would be relatively simple to implement.
The other would be to allow games to be replayed with the same allies.
Options could be replaying with no secrets, having all allies disclosed from the start, and choosing of allies(similar to the Risk game option of picking countries instead of dealing them out).
This game could appeal to more people .
It's a great game with some excellent community and support.

I would love to be able to choose allies, and I am sure many people would use such a feature. It can be frustrating to have a string of battles with bad layout. I am usually not a good enough player to come out on top if I have a bad layout :)

The devs seem to have a certain agenda and do not seem interested in ideas. There must be reasons. All I want to do is stimulate variations on a great game which would interest more people, including myself. :)
However, if they wanted to appeal to a larger audience, it seems that they could do it by implimenting some of these options.
PEOPLE LOVE OPTIONS. Look at any supermarket shelf! :o
It's a great game with some excellent people. 8)

Thank you :)

I believe this is just not the type of game to attract a lot of people.
You have to think, so 80% will skip this.

Is there a map editor program?

Maybe give players the resources to make maps, and choose the best player created one every month, 3 months, 6 months...
