Good news for strategy gamers: Massive Assault Network 2 beta gets patched to version 2.0.197:
http://www.massiveassaultnetwork.com/do ... _patch.exe

Following improvements has been done:
- New compression method has been applied to data transferred between player and game server, which resulted in more than 5 times speed increase.
- Several memory leaks issues has been addressed which speed ups overall application performance
- Multi-select is available now when accepting or rejecting both public and personal challenges "My Profile" section has been enriched with new information bar that shows player's brief stats and displays his standing in global listing.
Selecting any other player from global listing displays how far you are from this opponent and let immediately challenge the opponent by pressing F2 button.

Over 80 registered players who already purchased lifetime membership - may additionally enjoy following improvements coming with this patch:
- Players may set infinite turn limit now (yes, it has been finally added)
- New chess-style game limit feature* being offered thus strictly determining entire duration of any single game.
* This limitation is taken from chess games, so player defines now ENTIRE amount of time for the battle on his end (from 1 to 4 weeks). The
timer goes down when the turn is on player's side, therefore it's not an advantageous strategy anymore to delay turns. This style for battle limitation is supposed to be default for tournaments and clan war games in future; thus everyone knows for sure when the game comes to the end and has more motivation to make turns faster.

Thank you for staying with us and helping to get Massive Assault Network series more addictive!

Kind Regards,
Wargaming.net Team

I went to test the chess clock and infinate trying to setup a personal challenge, but I could not select them even though I could see them. Can others do it? What could be preventing me?

Oh, and congrats on getting the chess clock in... This has been on my wish list and am glad to see it a reality.

Your opponent should have same version of MAN2, so you can send public challenge or try to select each player and check is it available to send challenge him with new option.

These improvements sound great!

Now that the infinite time limit and speed increases have been implemented, I'm looking forward to playing a few massive games on Sea Switzerland...public challenges forthcoming...

@ Dev's : Seems my problems with games in wrong list and not being able to make a replay are over with this patch. Good job!
I also noticed before the patch, on larger maps, when zoomed out max. there was a slight slowdown (blades of copters started to look like they lost a few frames/sec.) When zooming in slowdown disappeared. Looks like that's solved too. Cherio !

Just noticed something..
When comparing myself to myself I saw this :

Strange that I'm behind myself hehe :)

You should just refresh your list of players.

After refreshing I went one position up.
So now I'm only two positions behind myself :D

I checked that out, kinda wish ranks came along with the usernames at all points, instead of out-of-the-way place.
I assume that when I click on myself(favorite pasttime?)...I will be "one spot behind"?....Mine shows 0 points ahead/behind and 1 place behind.
BTW, I have had numerous freeeze-ups in MAN2 , at weird times, moving between screens, hardly ever in a game(Which is a preffered situation).
This happened today, after new patch.
