Could any of the devs give an update on whether we will see Maelstrom's map "Aurora" included in the release version of MAN 2? Personally, I would love to see it in there along with the other new maps promised.

Aurora will not be released during the official MAN2 Release. But we remember about the map, all MAN2 developers know it very well. Frankly speaking, I have no doubt it would be released one day.

The devs have promised 24 maps total in the release version of MAN 2. Currently, there are 21, so that means 3 new maps to come. :-) I hope to see Aurora sometime soon, but I am confident that the devs will deliver 3 good new maps to us regardless.

I must really be behind the times because i have not played all 21 of the existing maps yet. But, if you are going to add 3 more maps, I vote for all to be either large or extra large

I vote for large and xlarge too. I would like to play a second trinity. ;-)
But as far as I can remember a dev wrote somewhere that these three maps will be small and medium only. I really hope that the devs reconsider their decision. What about a poll for this question?

But I'm afraid that more people would rather play fast little games than jumping into the fray of a huge battle.

And probably some players would vote for small and medium maps solely because the larger ones are running too slow.

Well, I'm playing on a 3GHZ machine with 2GB RAM and a middle class DX9 video card with 128MB RAM with no performance issues.

How about taking out the center section of the Trinity map and replacing it with the whole New Paradise map--Now that would be a XL map I would like to play

If you are not going to buy the game and become someone that actually supports the game, what makes you think that your wants, needs or ideas are of any interest to those of us that have bought and are therefore supporting this game?

Yes, maybe it could simplify things if one new map has a small, medium, and large within the same map....Which could also make a good tutoring map. Use the small map for the unsubscribed (heathen), and the larger maps for those who are registered and therefor blessed.
