I REALLY like to see a server stat thing on the main website.

I can't connect at this moment, and I'm wondering if I have a problem and should double my heartbeat, or just wait until the server is updated or whatever.

(Now please let the server be down at this moment or I'm screwed..)

It would be handy if we could see it, no?

I'm wondering 'bout what happens with games wich gets out of time due a server problem.

I have 4 games that will go out of time this evening, and I'm not able to play them :(

I was unable to even get to the website for most of the afternoon (US Eastern). A 'game status', '# of commanders' on one of the pages would be cool though.

Someone forget to pay the bill? :D

I was thinking about this... doesn't your opponent have to click 'finish' for the game to be forfeited? Or, hopefully, you can play your turn, and go on like normal?

I haven't noticed any snerty types, and in this case I'm hopeful that noone would just jack a game, simply because they could. Considering they were likely unable to play as well... its common sense to give a guy/girl another day, no?

Seems that most players won't time you out....Usually only after a "long time" passes. I generally only time out people who appear not to be coming back:"new names" that never seem to reappear....In first weeks of Domination, opponents timed me out like crazy, I couldn't figure out what had happened at first....and I was irked 8) ...also lots players who know they are losing will never surrender......why is this? :o

The shame aaah the shame.
If balance goes below 50% I surrender. Getting bored playing lost games..

For time out's, I ALWAYS send a message to notify the other player of his/her time out. After that message I check to see wether they were online since the message or not. If they were, and have not played the game then the game is finished. (If they had short time, they can send a message to ask me to wait right?)

Well ithink if you time out it does not matter the game is over and you cannot play. In man 1 you had the option of ending games that were timed out. I timed out on 3 games because i could not play my turn on time they were ended as soon as i opened them. If im not mistaken in man2 if you time out its over. If this is not the case someone please correct me.

hmmm...that's a good point....since MAN1 requires the opponent to "click on the game" that hasn't been sent to "time it out"....but does MAN2 indeed "time-out" automatically?...NOTE: this is separate from the in-game "timer", which will hopefully be fixed and made to default infinity...

I haven't had any automatically timed out games in MAN2. I have had several opponents go over their alotted time(out of game time) and it has not automatically timed them out.

There is not automatical timed out in the MAN2. It is still manual option for player.

There comes a time when an experienced playa will recognize a lost game, but there is always the possibility that your opponent will have a stroke or start hitting the pipe, which might indeed give a new opportunity. Given these are far-fetched , I don't want to waste time on a lost cause, unless it seems the winner might get a few kicks with those winning overrun turns....good-sportsmanship and all....eh what!...
