Post subject:  Huge Memory Leak

I have only been playing Man2 for one patch (2.0.197) so I cannot say whether this is a new or old issue.

My friend and I both have a Gig of memory and we each played a game with various amounts of other things going on in the background. He was fullscreen and I was windowed, and I had Ultraedit with about 10 text files open and Opera with about 85 web pages open, plus Excel, Paint Shop Pro, and some other programs running. Definitely not the best environment for sure, but with testing off a fresh reboot the problem seems to be the same. We both got slower and slower game responses (scrolling on the map was the easiest way to see this, the animations happening during movement and combat and during general environmental motion were affected but harder to see) and eventually his computer crashed so hard he had to reboot, and a short time later my Man2 became unresponsive and I had to Task Manager it shut down.

After a fresh reboot and some additional game testing, it seems the game always is starting up at around 250-270 mb memory required, and after an hour or two balloons to 560 mb or so. It is generally around here that the performance is so poor that we pretty much have to shut it down through Task Manager or reboot. Please note that this occurs at more or less the same speed if I am playing an Internet game or simply watching one of the automated replays it defaults to at the beginning.

Is there a fix for this in sight?
And does Man1 not have such problems? If so, maybe we should check out the more stabler version to start with :D

Ohh err scratch that seems as though Man1 has been done away with? At least we can't download it anymore, probably in preparation of Man2 leaving beta state?
