Hi,
I have big problems with MAN2:

-loading of the games (especially on medium/large maps) is very very slow...same thing about each phase of every single game :-? , I must wait even 10 minutes just to see all my opponent phase :o !!!

Is it possible to set the game a little bit rapid??..like for instance the old MAN standard??

I also appreciated the speed of MAN1.
I am installing more memory and Processing, with hopes that will help.
Certain games get bogged down, especially Sea Switz and Trinity....and may be it has something to do with "how long the game has been running(?)". If I exit and come back, it seems that a little speed is recovered(Could be my imagination).
Otherwise I have set my graphics to mediums and lows, as well as "no tree shadows".
MAN2 is certainly pretty .

Yeah, in the last patch (215) they seem to have re introduced the memory leak. Cant leave the game running while awaiting turns. I find that now I have to exit to windows after playing a turn and if I have several turns I might get away with playing two in a row befor I have to exit the game again because it has gotten so slow.
And I have two gigs of ram and 256 megs on my video card. I dont think its a hardware issue.

Very interesting.
So the fault lies with the MAN2"program"?
Is it only large maps which have the "slowdowns"?
Is the slowdown dependent on large number of units?

The only pattern my feeble senses have detected is the longer the game is open, the slower it gets.
