Yeah. But I hope that it can be switched back to wire-mode (GF2MX here). What I am most interested in is the secret allies idea. I read the interviews but I couldn't fully figured it out yet.

And I hope it isn't that brilliant yet. You know doing such concept testing and after three weeks you get a letter saying: "Thanks dude test is over now." If you get a real hug about the game then you will be near to a breakdown or somethin.

So lets hope its 'only' very good to play and to test and that it isnt brilliant right now but becomes brilliant when it hits the stores. I wanna have the retail-box of the game next to me when I get crazy about it... . (Well by havin the possiblity to play online it's hard to don't get too excited

By the way do the game-devs know the Battle Isle games?

 not a chance here. But maybe you'll get to look at AI thoughts.

May be we'll write a short paper about game rules... But one of the things we want to test is how simple are they for grasping by above average gamers.

Well as long as you present the stats of each unit and the user gets a tooltip about everything there won't be a problem, I think.

By the way you could also write some 'survivor-reports' of real matches. You know taking shots, drawing strategies, using Photoshop filters to older the pics and also make it brownscale. You know something like the WW2-reports about battles. You surly played CloseCombat2 so you know the guy telling you whats going on.

Maybe you can make a contest to get written reports from the beta-testers and players (not the poor concept-testers:)) And then select the best and put it online or in the game. Would help to spread the tactics and strategies. So a noob wouldn't need much time to get things started - even when playing against old foxes . It's also a good thing to referr during a multiplayer-battle;-)

All these are already available...

The goal of the Concept Test is to test the rules (inspite of they've been used for years by now) and find out some feature worth implementing. So all good Concept tester's ideas have a greate chance to be in the game.
