I'm just curious how most people handle Massive Assault online play. Right now, all of my opponents seem to be taking a day or more to make their moves.

Edit: and on that note, anyone who'd like to challenge me is welcome to do so. I need more games running.

I have the game in the background in windowed mode at work, so I generally tab over to it and check the multiplayer to see if I have any games waiting. ;)

Me.

Mornings and evenings, usually. Maybe mid-day if I have time.

Many many times on weekends, if I'm not piled under by work

I move several times. I'd move the second I got a move if there was a better notification system. Problem is, using webmail as I do, you have to go there, login, check mail... and repeat each time.

What MA could do with is a notification addon, sits in the system tray and informs you when you have a game.

The latest patch does have auto-turn-checking function.
If you fold down Massive Assault into Task Bar while it's in the "Multiplayer Profile" mode. It will be checking for new turns every couple of minutes. When a new turn arrives, the taskbar MA shield will blink.

Oooo... depending on how much memory that takes up (and processor time, which is more important to me), that will be VERY handy.

A command line option which allows you to launch straight into this mode (rather than going through the menus) would be much appreciated.

How? I couldn't see a way, or is this an upcoming patch you're talking about?

You just minimize it when it is in windowed mode

Or just leave it running it the background. It auto-checks about once a minute or so..

Me.
