In that case it is possible for the system to not be conquered, and remain neutral? How would it be treated at that time?
It will still be neutral then. Next time somebody invades, they will invoke guerrilla again (giving funds to every other clan). We don't track which systems have already given guerrilla, unlike Massive assault. The same thing can happen if somebody invades a neutral, but then moves out before they capture it.

Ok, this also leads me to another question on when a system is attacked by more then 2 clans. What happens if to the system that is attacked by 2 clans that defeat the defender and then kill each other? I know it is a remote chance of this happening, but it is possible. The system should belong to the original defender. Just thinking about SE1 in Orion.
I think in the Orion war it still goes to the original defender. In the Andromeda war, as soon as the last defender is destroyed the system changes hands (which is possible if a game was going slower for someone, and they lost one game at say turn 20, but still have a game going on that can take less turns. They will still lose for sure, but they have a chance to destroy another army before they go).
In the case where 2 clans attacked it, the system would become neutral as soon as the last defender was guarunteed to be destroyed (each defender lost at least once). 2 round battles where more than 1 clan attacked was considered to be unfair, as they take a long time to complete, and the whole while the defender would be getting income even though their loss was certain.
