Can players score points when losing to a high-ranked player?
I believe it worked that way in MAN1...

No, in MAN2 you lose point if you lost battle, but you lose less points if your opponent has higher rank.

A Higher-Ranked will lose points in a Draw; and the Lower-Ranked will gain points.

in a post in early December one of the developers stated that the scoring system would soon be changed to one in which no points would be deducted for losses. Is this still the plan and, if so, when will this change take place.

Yes, this plain choice to ignore the majority decision makes me wonder.
The draw thing needs totally fixed in every way. This is the kind of thing that matters.
