I'm obviously (as you can see by the post count) new to the MA community. I played the game back in demo, then picked up the full version recently. I stink, but I'm learning.

Anyhow, I digress. I'm actually posting to suggest a "turn waiting" utility for online play. I'd really love to have a little notifier applet on my Windows desktop that stays logged into the servers and alerts me to when I have a turn waiting. While I love MA, I can't keep it running all the time on my desktop and continually logging in to check for turns (I do have to get *some* work done during the day <grin>). So a simple little notifier would be great. Then I would only have to load up the full game whenever I actually had a turn waiting.

At this time you can do this using our auto connection feature.
1) Download latest patch
2) Run MA. Switch it to windowed mode. Open your profile in multiplayer. Now Massive Assault will connect to server every 300 secs.
3) Minimize MA. In this form it does not take CPU resources.
4) MA starts to blink whith new turn or challenge

I just have my email client running all the time, and when an e-mail is received from MA it plays a wav file.

This is an awesome feature! I reduced the time of checking to 2 mins as well, so I can program my clan map generator while playing MA when turns show up

Only way to play MA is windowed for me...

Arrrgh OhNo I did like you suggested. I then started trying different things like turning VSyn on & off, changed the res to 1600x1200 [ my monitor can handle this ] but now i can't play the game again

The game launches but is only in Windowed mode, it just stays at the screen where there's a small island & a battle starts. I click in all the buttons but nothing works. I can't even get back into options to changes things back again

Any of the Devs know what i can do say in the settings.ini file to fix this problem ????
