Hello, i just downloaded the demo and i've been playing it a little. Thinking of getting the game.

But anyways i'm wondering about the different types of terrain. I noticed that fast units (tanks, bots) move only 1 hex through forest. Amphibians cant move through trees at all. But what about deserts? Does terrain have any other effects?

desert terrain slows every unit down as forest EXcept Amphs - they move at their normal speed(3 hexes per turn)

What about roads? sometimes they seem to add to my movement, and sometimes they don't... how exactly does it work?

They add movement for units with only one movement point, so basically LAVs, Mortars, and RLs. Mortars with 2 move are far better than a tank, and RLs with 2 move are nasty
