Question about MA: is there a skirmish mode?

As a single player person, can I set up random map games and random enemies and play that way or is it always scenario based?

In the disc version you can play against AI on any map available in this version and for any side.

what if you download it off the website? none of my stores around here carry it

MAN2 allow to play online battle with AI (4 maps are available for trial players).
