OK now I can login, but it's still my trial account. How do I activate it ???????

As far as I know, you don't need to activate it - just log in with the trial account name and password that you upgraded to a registered account, and it will upgrade you (to check, quit out and reload the game - you should lose the 'Trial Account' note on the title screens).

That's how it worked for me, anyway...

When you paid in the CC processing interface, you should have clicked "Continue" but not "Cancel".

"Continue" should have brought you to the Account Activation Page.

But I have activated your account manually, so it must be "Subscribed Member" now.

And everybody else should be doing this:
After the CC processing system asks you to "Continue" or "Cancel", you should press "CONTINUE" !!!
