Game [13240] -- the bug where when I try to raise Guerilla -- it places the enemy bomber in the place of what I'm trying to insert -- therefore I cannot complete my turn. Any way to fix?

Actually this bug with unit-substitution is fixed already in patch 205. If you have the patch installed and the bug happens, then unfortunately nothing can be done but for to delete the game.

This bug can happen if a game has been started within previous version by at least one player.

ive worked thru it...and yes even in games after the 205 patch.

here is what you do when you get the bombers durring guerila phase or any other phase..........rewind.


rewind.


that usually fixes it for me....

on the other hand..if you dont rewind...then you are cheeting. since the game will give you a extra bomber in a city you didnt have the resources for that bomber and it doesnt count againt your funds available. you will still ba able to get that unit you wanted....but you will also have that aircraft.

and of course, if anyone finds out your cheeting, even due to a bug, you might find people not willing to play games with you.

this is very hard to track, but if your oppent watches that replay and the stats...and runs his own numbers...he might have something interesting to say.

(side note.... i suspect about 13 players have used this bug in the past, and the support has been notifed. yes its not a actully cheat, since you cannot do it at will..... but its still a cheat if you do not rewind.)


so, please rewind, do not cheat. do not take a unfair tactical position due to software error.

When this happens I just rewind and put my units down in a different order. Corrects the problem every time.

xzanth: it's only a cheat if the person intends to cheat. If somebody didn't know about this and got it to work without rewinding, that person might never realize he or she had an extra bomber.
