I just installed the new patch for MA and now when I try to start it up, an error message comes up saying that I have an illegal copy of the game. WHAT GIVES! I paid my money for the game just like everyone else. Anyone else having this problem? I need the tech people to e-mail me with a solution. bombs19@aol.com

Did you download the appropriate patch?

There are different patches for different regions, because the distributors use different copy protection schemes (so if you bought the scandinavian version and downloaded the GMX patch the copy protection will not recognise your copy).

I'm having a similar problem...
Since i've installed the last patch, i'm not able to play any games at all, because all downloads stops in the last step!
I'm trying to solve the problem, and as soon as i make it, i'll post here something.
Meanwhile, i think you should contact directly (send a message) the suport, i've done it, just waiting for a reply witch should arrive soon.

the games gives u the illegal copy error when it can't find the cd. make sure it is in the same cd-rom drive as the one u installed it (if u have 2)
