To handle games on two different computers -- right now, quite often I am forced to use Restore Profile to get new games onto a computer they weren't started on. This is getting to be a lengthy process the more I play.

Surely it isn't impossible for the game to query the database to find out all my active games, and get just those turns (since the website is somehow able to do it...).

cehcking for all ru games isntead of just checking for new games would take alot longer, in the searching for games bit. People jsut want for it to scan for enw games not have to wait will ti cehckes all ur old games too. Would just take too long.

And yet somehow the web page manages to pull up all this information in seconds. I really don't believe that MAN's database is that bad.

In any case, you don't need to check all your old games. You simply do a query of the form:

SELECT GameID FROM Games WHERE PlayerID = CrimeGorilla AND Active = 1

Then from that list, you pull down the turn information.

(Surely the web page is doing exactly this.)

picking a spercific game id is the same as just repairing a game?

And as for the website, all it's downlaoding is the fact the game is there anda ctive, it obviously takes longer to download the opponents turn.

I fail to see why downloading only games which have changed since your last logon would be such a problem. Any database could run that sort of check in a millisecond, and then you're even taking up less bandwidth because you're not download so much!

I really don't see this being a problem, and it's a mystery why this hasn't been implemented yet.
